Victim Advocacy

Victim advocates are professionals trained to support victims of crime. Advocates offer victims information, emotional support, and help finding resources and filling out paperwork. Sometimes, advocates go to court with victims or help with financial compensation. ​

Stephen Massey    Director of Operations     MS, AA, CDCA
​Stephen enjoys working as an advocate working in the community to help individuals and families gain stability.  He loves to make connections and network with people to help serve for a higher purpose.  He has years of experience working in the chemical dependency/substance abuse community.  He co-facilitates Citi Lookout's Domestic Violence Program "Journey to Freedom" that is based off of the Duluth Model.

Melissa Massey, Advocate
​Melissa is a client advocate that has been with Citi Lookout for about 18 months. She is a mother of 5 married to her spouse of 13 years and has an extensive history in addiction and recovery aspects, as well as being a survivor of many types of abuse. She really wants to give back to her community by working mainly with women that are dealing with some of the same issues that she has had to overcome in our own life. Melissa also co-facilitates Citi Lookout's Domestic Violence Program "Journey to Freedom."

Annie King, Advocate
Annie grew up overseas in the Ukraine, has an interest in painting and archery, and is the proud owner of 2 Labradors. Recently she has been a volunteer serving women recovering from trauma and substance abuse. Annie has personally been in recovery for past trauma and substance abuse and uses her life experiences to serve others in need of the support necessary to make long lasting positive changes in their own lives. 
Aaron Roy, Advocate
Aaron has worked for the past 15 years as a pastor/church planter, as well as serving with numerous non-profit organizations. He enjoys journeying with people as they navigate their own story, finding purpose and healing. Aaron especially has a heart for those who society has written off and cast aside. His ministries have involved working with inmates, the homeless, and those who are in the throws of addiction. Aaron desires to see people set free from whatever is hindering them from walking in their full potential. 
Angela Moody,  Advocate
Angela joined the Trauma Recovery Center after working in a variety of non-profit organizations. She is a gifted administrator, as well as facilitator, and she adds a ​level of professionalism and compassion to the advocate team.
